Meanwhile we are looking forward to have these deaf organizations to make an impact to get Rick Boucher on board, I just emailed my Representative Mike Doyle of PA. Hopefully he will be 45th or 46th. Thanks for a pep talk!

thank you for this video. I watched it because Jamie Berk sent something around about it and I value what she says. My son is 6 and I would want your child to have access to everything my son has access too.

I retweeted Jammie’s post and support your video…

Just another thought by the way… A lot of deaf made video (vlogs) are also not captioned – and much of those videos are talking about needing or wanting something from a hearing world… if it’s not accessible to THAT hearing world, then that hearing world can’t change… just a thought.

HI, I DO AGREED FOR KIDS AND ADULT TO READ THE CLOSED CAPTIONED WITH THE VIDEO OR MOVIES ETC… IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING TO UNDERSTAND MORE THAN NO CLOSED CAPTIONED AT ALL THAT WILL NOT WORK OUT FOR KIDS … GOD WANTS THEM TO READ BETTER WITH CLOSED CAPTIONED … THANKS..

IF YOU SON IS NOT A HEARING LOSS — WILL YOU CONTINUE INVEST YOUR TIME AND ENERGY TO PUSH THIS HR 3101 BILL TO BE PASSED? THAT REMAINS TO BE A SPECULATION TO US. YOU SURELY ABLE TO VOCAL YOUR RAMBLING YET, YOUR ACTION DOES NOT.

Great Video! I will like to share it on my facebook with my Deaf friends. How?

In fact, my son has an unilateral hearing loss. He is functionally hearing child. He hears/speaks normally as any hearing kid, but only with one ear. Also, he uses american sign language. He’s bilingual child.

To answer your question, I believe my actions have spoken loudly? Aye? :-)

my friend Jamie Berke sent this to me, she is trying very hard to get hr 3101 passed in washington, she was my best friend in HS, and still is!! I got to ask you is you are related to Stewert Gerlis from nanuet, NY. He comes into the Post Office where I work-Hes a very nice person and so is whole family. I do hope that this bill gets signed-I am sure that everyone involved has put a lot of effort into this. Its about time that the government supports the efforts of the people in America.

    Lisa,

Yes, Stewart is my father. :-)

We need to get this bill introduced on the floor. The only way we can do this – get more co-sponsors!

My ASL class made this video today. I did my best to condense the information in limited title pages. I have not learned all the features for the iMovie program hence the odd captioning. This video has been sent to 3 of our key congress people and the Governor of Maine as an Open Letter of sorts.

Thanks for your inspiration for this class project :)
